With Zippo launching their new site it looks like Collectors
might get left out of the loop with the company, other than getting some old
rehashed information and the ability to search out dealers in different
counties there looks to be not much more Zippo is going to be putting into a
group that has given vocal support throughout the years for the company.
Though customer service is still there they have learned
that collectors who buy lighters 2nd or even 3rd hand put
no money into the bottom line and are not going to return to the ways of the
past and put funding into a segment that really has no use as far as financial gain
for the company.
So where are you going to go to get that Zippo
fix? Well ZeN (The Zippo Enthusiast Network) might be the place to go.
It is free to join and one of the fastest growing Zippo communities on the
net. It is geared to both collectors and sellers of Zippo's. There you can post
pictures of your collection or recent finds, post in community forums just
about anything Zippo related, get information on lighters from dating to how
rare it is or what it may be worth. There are Club lighters, Contests and many
other features you just do not find in other clubs.
I would have to say that out of all the Lighter clubs out there this one
could be the best for ease of use and being up to date as it is live and ongoing.
It is well laid out and has many-many features not available in any other club
now or in the past. There are knowledgeable members who offer advice freely.
With just a few quick answers for membership (To keep spammers out) you can
start being part of a growing community that looks like will be one of the
biggest Zippo resources on the net for years to come.
Although this is a glowing review I am not part of the club so you can take
